The article considers the current state of the labor market in the Belgorod region. The dynamics of labor market indicators for the last five years is analyzed, and prospects for its development are determined. The presence of negative trends of the labor market development in the region, such as the deficit of the working-age population and the high demographic burden on them, has been revealed. The use of the forecast model of the labor market balance is proposed.
