As one of the characteristics of the domestic financial market, a steady trend towards a reduction in the number of banks and their independent structural divisions is noted. In these conditions, the importance of studying the problems of financial availability of banking products and services to potential consumers is emphasized. The purpose of the work is to substantiate the need to develop remote methods of providing banking products and services to improve overall financial availability.

The author analyzed the impact of reducing the number of operating units of credit institutions on the availability of banking services and products for the population. The dynamics of indicators of the provision of the population with banking services in Russia in comparison with the banking sectors of developed countries is considered. Based on the results of the analysis, the problem of a low level of financial availability in certain regions of our country is identified, and the transformation of the methods of providing banking products and services is proposed as a possible solution to it. The assessment of the current level of use by the population of remote channels of access to financial services in the domestic market is given and the necessity of their further development on the basis of advanced electronic technologies is substantiated. The main advantages of remote service channels are identified, which are considered as the most promising way to promote and sell banking products and services to consumers.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The article discusses the main trends prevailing at the current stage of development of the Russian banking market.
