One of the main issues of state development is the effective use of state financial resources, therefore, the need to create conditions for ensuring the effective functioning of public finances is an extremely important and relevant topic. The creation and development of an effective system can be carried out with the help of new technologies that are being introduced into our lives. We are talking about new digital technologies. The article discusses the role and significance of the implementation of the project on the introduction of the system of the state integrated information system for public finance management (GIS) «Electronic budget». The analysis of the implementation of the concept of «Electronic budget» of the Russian Federation is carried out, where the positive and negative aspects of its implementation are highlighted.
