Sustainable development is a global issue. More than 100 countries and regions have announced their sustainable development goals, making certain commitments to the environmental, socio-economic development of countries. This article is devoted to the consideration of one of the financial instruments &amp;ndash; &amp;laquo;green&amp;raquo; investments. &amp;laquo;Green&amp;raquo; investment is aimed at creating business production, technologies that reduce the impact on the environment. The study examines China&amp;rsquo;s experience in implementing the concept of sustainable development and the &amp;laquo;green&amp;raquo; economy. China implements economic policy in proportion to its population, resources and environment. The national policy emphasizes the need to &amp;laquo;comprehensively strengthen the building of ecological civilization&amp;raquo; and implement new development concepts that emphasize &amp;laquo;innovative, coordinated, environmentally friendly and open development for all&amp;raquo;. China&amp;rsquo;s priority is to &amp;laquo;peak carbon emissions by 2030 and achieve carbon neutrality by 2060&amp;raquo;. Economic conditions are being created in the country to achieve the goal. The authors analyzed the use of ESG principles at the enterprises of the country. The ESG concept has received positive reviews in China. The country&amp;rsquo;s enterprises are implementing ESG tools: the introduction of new energy-saving technologies, the use of renewable energy sources, the issuance of &amp;laquo;green&amp;raquo; bonds, and others.
