The article explores and analyzes the innovative potential of the region, reflecting the financial, economic, scientific, technological, industrial, and personnel status of the region. The research is based on an integrated approach that can be used to assess the socio-economic development of regions in general and to build interregional ties in particular. The basis of the study is the applied ratings of the development of the subjects of the Russian Federation in terms of quality of life, scientific and technological development, the state of the investment climate and economic specialization of the regions, and information from Rosstat, the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation are used as sources of information.
