Digitalisation of all branches of life has rapidly entered the society and started to develop rapidly. In modern societyб it is difficult to imagine life without digital technologies. This applies, of course, to all areas of life, including the economy. One of the sectors of the economy in which digital technologies are used is insurance. The use of digital technologies in the insurance market is important. Through the digitalisation of insurance, this industry can be improved. But now, in modern times, digitalisation of insurance has a number of problems and shortcomings. This article analyzes the insurance market and the digital technologies used in it, as well as their impact on the market and its key indicators. The main objective is to consider the gaps and problems of digitalization in insurance, as well as to determine the vector of development. To achieve this task, we reviewed and analyzed the works of Russian and foreign scientists devoted to this problem. Based on the results of the works, the problems and shortcomings of digitalization in insurance were presented, as well as, based on them, the tasks to improve the application of digital technologies in insurance.&amp;nbsp; The obtained results can be actively applied in insurance, in particular, as a justification of the feasibility of using innovative technologies in insurance activities, as well as in explaining to the insurance company the choice of the necessary digital technology.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Digital technologies have become an integral part of the modern world.
