The United States, as the largest economy in the world and as the driving force behind most of the changes taking place in the world, especially in Western countries, is of interest in terms of the impact of these changes on the standard of living of American citizens. Another reason for interest in the state of well-being of the US population is the desire of this country to influence the rest of the world by waging hybrid wars and interfering in the internal affairs of other countries. The purpose of this paper is to carry out a comparative analysis of the standard of living of the population in the regions of the Mideast of the United States in recent years. The study ranks these regions for 2000-2023 according to three indicators reflecting the standard of living of the population: per capita income, per capita GDP, and the employment rate of the entire population. The analysis revealed a significant impact of the country&amp;#39;s transition from the industrial to the post-industrial era, which is expressed by the urbanization of the population, deindustrialization of large industrial centers, as well as an increase in the digitalization of financial flows, which leads to increased fiscal control over them by the state. As a result of these changes, the standard of living of the population in states where large megacities are located increases, but the standard of living of the population in states where large industrial production was previously located or where there was a low-tax policy, which contributed to money laundering, decreases. Due to increased government control, &amp;ldquo;tax offshore&amp;rdquo; states have lost their attractiveness for large transnational corporations.</p>
<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>Changes in the global economy that have occurred in recent years, as well as international political events, have had a significant impact on the socio-economic processes and the standard of living of the population in countries around the world.
