The study was conducted on the basis of statistical information on Russian regions, which can be categorised by material and infrastructural indicators. To establish the relationship between the presented assessment criteria, an analysis of the level of the social rating of the regions was carried out, which made it possible to identify the main problems associated with ensuring the quality of the population in individual Russian regions. The results of the study allowed us to determine the importance of individual factors in terms of the effectiveness of the socio-economic policy of the region. There is a greater positive impact of material factors compared to infrastructural ones. The presented results can be used by the authorities to assess the social rating and quality of life of the population in the region, to develop effective social programs aimed at improving the quality of life of the population.</p>
<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The presented article contains the results of a study of the level of social rating and the region and the methodology for its assessment.
