THE FUTURE OF DIGITALIZATION OF SMALL AND MEDIUM-SIZED BUSINESSES: ANALYSIS OF BENEFITS AND CHALLENGES
The article examines the impact of blockchain, artificial intelligence (AI), and the Internet of Things (IoT) technologies on the digital transformation of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). An integrated approach was used, including quantitative data collected through surveys and qualitative data obtained from in-depth interviews. The results show that adjusting the business model due to the introduction of digital technologies contributes to a significant increase in operational efficiency, improved customer service, and reduced costs. However, SMEs face a number of barriers, such as high initial investment, lack of skilled labor, and data security issues. The paper offers practical recommendations for successful integration of these technologies, emphasizing the importance of strategic planning, investment, training and development, and the implementation of robust security measures.
