PROBLEMS, DRIVERS, PROSPECTS OF BEANS PRODUCTION AND EXPORT IN RUSSIA
The article analyzes the production of beans in Russia. It provides an assessment of the dynamics of resource potential, including the sown area, yield and gross harvest between 2019 and 2023. The dynamics of gross bean harvests in the federal districts of the Russian Federation in 2019 and 2023 was analyzed. The ratings of Russia's regions for gross bean production in 2019 and 2023 revealed the Amur region's rapid rise to a leading position. This is due to the cultivation of sugar beans, which is in demand in the Asian market, which opens up export prospects. In the world, the largest bean production was recorded in India, Brazil, China and the USA, with the largest exporters of beans: Italy (32.4%), China (19.4%), Great Britain and the Netherlands (7.3%). The connection between the prospects of bean production and the global trend for a healthy diet is emphasized, factors related to it are considered. The development of the modern bean market is presented in terms of trends, problems and growth drivers. The growing popularity of beans contributes to the development of sustainable methods of its production. The author identified the prospects for the production of beans and the restraining factors of its cultivation. The conclusion was made about the necessary measures to increase the growth potential of bean production in Russia, which are the basis for future success.
