Research on the impact of blockchain on the banking sector
The article examines the impact of blockchain technology on the banking sector and the possibility of introducing smart contracts into the practical activities of modern banks. The purpose of the article is to determine the main directions of application and influence of blockchain technology in the modern banking sector. The methodology includes document research, observation, and descriptive evaluation. Smart contracts are analyzed as one of the applications of blockchain technology. Scientific publications on the problems of blockchain implementation in the banking sector have been analyzed and the most promising areas of implementation of this technology have been identified.
Blockchain technology is increasingly finding its place in economic and financial practice, so it is the subject of discussion at the level of the states of the world, as well as at the level of the Government of the Russian Federation, the Bank of Russia, while today this technology and its potential remain unknown to the majority of the population. Nevertheless, given the development of this technology, there is no doubt that in the future you will need to study the features of this technology well in order to be able to use it adequately and effectively use all its significant potential in the modern economy and in the field of finance. However, the emergence of blockchain technology heralds a new era, which I have called blockchain, any company, institution or company that wants to achieve its economic prosperity in the future should be interested in blockchain technology in order to deepen and expand scientific research on this topic.
